Overview

ParseForge

UK Parliament Members Scraper

Scrape UK Parliament members from the official directory, up to a million per run. Every member comes with their name, party, house, and status. No login or API key. Export to CSV, JSON, Excel, or XML.

The UK Parliament website lists every MP and peer, but there is no bulk download. This Actor reads the public member directory directly, filtered by name or house, and returns each match in one fixed schema.

Who uses it What they scrape UK Parliament for

What it does

This Actor collects UK Parliament members by name search or house filter, and returns each one as a flat row.

  • ๐Ÿ” Name search: filter members by name, for example Sunak, Starmer, or Smith.
  • ๐Ÿ›๏ธ House filter: limit results to the House of Commons, the House of Lords, or both.
  • ๐Ÿ“Š Flat rows: every member is returned as one record with consistent fields.
  • โšก Bulk collection: set a maximum of up to one million members per run.

Results export to CSV, JSON, Excel, or XML, or straight from the API.

Troubleshooting

Why am I getting no results?

Check your searchQuery. If you entered a name, make sure it is spelled correctly. Also verify the house filter is not excluding the members you expect.

Why did the run stop before reaching maxItems?

The Actor stops when it has collected all members matching your filters. If there are fewer matches than maxItems, it will return the available number.

Why are some fields empty in the output?

Some members may not have all fields populated on the UK Parliament website. Empty fields are returned as null or blank.

Can I run this Actor on a schedule?

Yes, you can set up a schedule in Apify to run the Actor periodically and track changes in the member directory.
