Overview
Riksbank SWEA Rates Scraper
Scrape Riksbank SWEA rates for any policy rate, STIBOR, government bond yield, or SEK cross rate, up to a million observations per run. Each row includes the series ID, date, and value, ready for CSV, JSON, Excel, or XML export. No API key or registration.
Riksbank's SWEA database holds every official Swedish interest rate and exchange rate, but the website only shows one series at a time and has no bulk export. This Actor reads the public SWEA API directly, so you can pull the policy rate, STIBOR fixings, government bond yields, and SEK cross rates into one flat dataset. Pick one series or all of them, get the latest observation or a full history, and export to CSV, JSON, Excel, or XML.
| Who uses it | What they scrape Riksbank for |
|---|---|
| Macro analysts | Pull the policy rate and STIBOR history to model Swedish monetary conditions. |
| Treasury teams | Download daily SEK cross rates for valuation and reporting. |
| Quant researchers | Build yield curve datasets from government bond and treasury bill series. |
| Financial journalists | Check the latest Riksbank rate decision and market reaction. |
| Risk managers | Monitor forward premiums and reference rates for exposure calculations. |
What it does
This Actor collects Riksbank SWEA rate observations by series ID and returns each observation as a flat row with the series ID, date, and value.
- 📋 Series selection: choose any of the 100+ SWEA series, from the policy rate to SEK/USD forward premiums.
- 🕒 Latest or history: get only the most recent observation per series, or set a from and to date for a full time series.
- 📊 Flat output: every observation is one row with series ID, date, and value, ready for analysis.
- 🔢 Rate limits: cap the run at up to 1,000,000 observations to stay within your storage budget.
- 🌐 No API key: the Actor calls the public SWEA endpoint directly, so there is nothing to register.
Results export to CSV, JSON, Excel, or XML, or straight from the API.
What you can do with Riksbank data
📈 Track the policy rate path.
A macro analyst pulls the policy rate series with a date range to chart Riksbank's hiking and cutting cycles.
💱 Build a SEK cross rate table.
A treasury team collects all SEK cross rates for the latest day to update their internal FX sheet.
📉 Model the yield curve.
A quant researcher downloads government bond yields for 2, 5, 7, and 10 years to fit a Nelson-Siegel curve.
🏦 Monitor STIBOR fixings.
A risk manager pulls STIBOR 3 months and 6 months daily to value floating-rate loans.
📰 Check the latest rate decision.
A financial journalist runs the Actor with latest-only to confirm the policy rate after a Riksbank announcement.
Why choose this scraper
| What you get | |
|---|---|
| Official source | Data comes straight from Riksbank's SWEA database, the same numbers used in official publications. |
| One row per observation | No nested JSON, series ID, date, and value in a flat table. |
| Full history | Go back to each series' first available date, often decades of daily data. |
| All series in one run | Leave the series list empty to pull the entire catalog, subject to max items. |
How it compares
No other Store actor targets Riksbank the same way, so the honest comparison is with the alternatives teams actually weigh.

| Output | Fixed JSON schema, CSV/Excel export | Whatever you build | Copy-paste |
| Cost | Pay per result | Engineering time | Analyst hours |
Configure the run
Drive the Actor from a list of series IDs, and set latest-only or a date range to control how much history you get. The max items limit caps the total observations per run. The Input tab lists every parameter.

Troubleshooting
Why am I getting no results?
Check that the series ID is spelled correctly and that the date range is valid. If you set a from date after the to date, no observations will be returned.
Why did the run stop before pulling all history?
The max items limit caps the total observations per run. Increase 'Maximum rates' up to 1,000,000 to get more data.
Why is the latest observation not today's date?
Riksbank publishes rates on business days. If today is a weekend or holiday, the latest observation will be the last business day.
Can I get intraday data?
No, SWEA provides daily observations only. The Actor returns one value per series per date.
Why do some series have missing values?
Some series, like STIBOR, are not published on certain days. The Actor returns only the dates where Riksbank published a value.
