Meetup is where local communities publish what they are doing and who is running it, but the site gives you one event card at a time and no way to export anything. This Actor reads Meetup's own public data directly and returns each event as one flat row: the schedule, the venue with coordinates, the fee, the RSVP figures, and the full profile of the group behind it, with its member count, category, founding date and organizer. No login, no API key, no OAuth app registration.

Every run returns 59 fields per event. You give it a plain place name such as "Berlin, Germany" and it resolves the coordinates itself, so nothing about the input requires you to know latitude and longitude. A search of 5 events completes in about 8 seconds. Point it at a group URL instead and it walks that group's complete calendar, upcoming and past, with no search ceiling in the way.

📋 What the Meetup Scraper does

💡 Why it matters: an event listing on its own tells you very little. What makes a meetup worth attending, sponsoring or selling into is the community around it, and that context lives on a different page. This Actor joins them: every event row already carries its group's member count, category, age and organizer, so you can rank and filter without a second pass.

• 🧭 Plain place names. Enter "New York, NY, USA", "London, United Kingdom" or just "Berlin". The Actor resolves it to coordinates through Meetup's own location service, so no geocoding step is needed on your side.
• 👥 Group context on every row. Member count, custom member label ("Memberinos"), category, city, founding date, join mode, privacy flag and organizer name and ID, joined to each event.
• 📍 Venue with GPS. Name, street address, city, state, postal code, country, latitude and longitude for in-person events, ready to map or geofence.

The ceiling, stated plainly. Keyword search has a floor of coverage set by Meetup, not by this Actor. A single keyword plus city plus radius combination returns roughly 300 to 500 events before Meetup's own search index stops offering new ones, and Meetup does not publish a true result total for a search, so no tool can promise you "every event in the city" from one query. The way to go wider is to vary the keyword, the category or the city, which this Actor makes cheap because each of those is a plain input field. Group URLs have no such ceiling: Meetup reports the real total there and this Actor pages through all of it, upcoming and past. Attendee names, RSVP lists and comment text sit behind a Meetup login and are out of scope; the Actor reports the comment count but not the comment bodies.

🔑 Do I need a Meetup account or API key? No. The Actor reads Meetup's public data with no login, no API key and no OAuth registration.

🌍 Does it work outside the United States? Yes. It was validated across New York, London, Berlin, Tokyo and Sydney. Any place name Meetup can resolve works, and results come back in the venue's own timezone.
